If your Avast! license key has expired, all you need to do is fire go Avast’s Official Website. Once there, navigate your way through to the Home Edition page, there should be a free edition tab somewhere on the homepage which will take you there. In the official Home Edition page, there should be a register button, click it. On the register page, there should be a box which mentions the following message.

“My registration key has expired, I need a new one, Lost my license”

Select it and go through each step. Once you click submit, you will receive an email from Avast with your new registration key.
