Does Linux or Ubuntu need anti spyware blockers?
If you are one of those rare individuals who use a Linux or Ubuntu OS, not a Microsoft Windows or Apple Mac OS then this question may strike you at a certain point. Does Linux or Ubuntu require anti spyware blockers? Linux is an open source operating system which is predominantly used by servers, rather than personal computers. Ubuntu is an operating system which is based on the Linux OS model and it is also distributed as open source software. These two operating systems are not used regularly by the computing community because of its incompatibility with most programs which are released for Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS.
So is there any need for you to purchase or download anti spyware blockers on your Linux or Ubuntu system? Not at all. Firstly, there are hardly any incentives for spyware developers to build such a malware for the Linux system because hardly anyone uses it at all. The number of people who uses the Linux Ubuntu OS probably only accounts for less than 5% of the whole computing community.
The second reason why spyware developers are wary of compromising the Linux operating system is the difficulty in doing so in the first place. The Linux operating system has a unique permission system which is universal. The permission covers three factors: read, write and execute. These factors come in three levels: root user, individual user and global users. This means if someone wants to compromise the Linux system with a spyware then they would require root privileges which is extremely difficult to obtain remotely.
Last but not least, I am not aware of any Linux anti spyware blocker in the market. You may get a few developed spyware blockers by individual users but that is as big as it gets. If you are currently or will be using Linux Ubuntu then you have nothing to worry about in terms of spyware blockers and malware problems.
