How to remove Home Antivirus 2010 rogue spyware

Recently, I have received reports that one of the latest rogue spyware to hit the net is Home Antivirus 2010. This rogue spyware is a misleading tool which uses common rogue spyware tactics such as showing exaggerated scan results and fake security alerts in your system tray to scare the user of the computer into purchasing Home Antivirus 2010. Here is a screenshot of the rogue antispyware.

Home Antivirus 2010 is a replica of another rogue program known as WinReanimator. It is recommended that you uninstall this rogue spyware on immediate detection. You are also recommended to find and remove Trojan-Download.braviax which distributes the above rogue antispyware.

If your computer is infected with Home Antivirus 2010 then you will get legitimate looking but fake notifications from your Windows system tray. Notification messages include:

“WARNING! Home Antivirus 2010 has found 33 useless and UNWANTED files on your computer!
- 21 of those items are considered critical privacy compromising content
- 9 of those items are considered medium privacy threats
- 3 of those items are considered to be junk content of low privacy threats
Personal data at the reach of anyone’s hand
Internet history records available
Compromising and adult material stored on your system
Chat sessions’ logs and personal Emails easily reachable

If you are infected with the above spyware then I recommend using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware or Spyzooka to remove spyware. If none of the anti-spyware programs work then please use Smitfraudfix.exe to remove Home Antivirus 2010. Please note this method requires some technical knowledge therefore it is not recommended that you do it without an experienced supervisor or acquaintance.
