Twitter users beware: The Koobface Virus returns

Users of twitter should beware as the next line of viruses hit the Twitter Network. This time, the virus which is known as ‘Koobface’ utilizes infected twitter accounts and post updates which leads other twitterers to a bogus website. The Koobface Virus is nothing new. It has already hit the likes of other social networks such as Myspace and the almighty Facebook.

When a twitterer clicks on a Koobface link like above, they are taken to a bogus video website. If the user clicks the play button of any video then this starts the virus mechanism. Once the user is infected, they utilize their twitter account to spread the link to more twitterers across the network.
