How to uninstall and remove combofix

Combofix is a legitimate spyware remover developed by sUBs. It is a freeware designed to scan known spyware and remove any which have been detected. It is slightly different to other free spyware removal tools you can find on the internet because its is a executable file, which means no installation is required and it uses DOS and not a GUI (graphical user interface).

Some of you may have come across problems with cleanly removing combofix.exe. All you need to do is type in the following code as shown. It must be typed in exactly the same for it to work.

1. Click Start then run.

2. In run, type in the following code (note the space between the x and the /).

combofix /u

If done correctly then your computer should now be free of Combofix.
