Thought the MAV address classification has been done in a very sequential manner we can even identify the Manufacturer from the MAC address of the device. This is done so as to uniquely identify the system.

There are different way to get your MAC address in windows, Mac and Linux. Follow these simple steps to find your MAC address for –

Windows

  1. Go to Start
  2. find run
  3. type “cmd”
  4. A windows console will open up. Type “ipconfig /all”
  5. Now you will find a list of information in the console window. Browse to the physical address section. The id mentioned there is the MAC address of your Network adapter.
